December was a very busy month for Steve and I. We got the travel bug. Our month started off with us traveling to Santa Barbara to support Lisa, who was running in the Santa Barbara Marathon. We had so much fun with Lisa, Merv and Sharon. Obviously, because all 5 of us are amazingly fun. I think we all gained about 10 pounds helping Lisa carbo load for her race. We ate, drank, ate some more, had some bread with our meals, had pancakes with the bread, and basically crammed every last carbohydrate in our bodies in preparation for Lisa's race. Oh yea, we also played boardgames at the hotel so as to not burn off too many of our carbs, went on safari (Merv's driving was 'creative' at times but he managed to get us to every spot we needed to cheer Lisa on) and watched our dearest friend run the race of a lifetime. We love you so much Lisa and thank you for letting us be part of your special weekend. We will always remember the fun and carbs we had in SB.
